About Alpha Gamma Delta

Alpha Gamma Delta is an international women's fraternity founded in 1904 at Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York. We are the farthest reaching of the sororities and women's fraternities with chapters as far south as Hawaii and as far north as Canada. Established before the creation of the word "sorority", Alpha Gamma Delta is referred to even today as a women's fraternity. With hundreds of collegiare and alumni chapters in the United States and Canada, we welcome more and more women into our circle of sisterhood every year and have been blessed to see such growth. Our purpose today is the same as it was in 1904, written with forethought and elloquence by founder Emily Helen Butterfield.

About the Dallas Alumnae Chapter

The Dallas Alumnae Chapter was started in Spring of 1992, when the Epsilon Psi collegiate chapter at the University of Texas at Dallas was founded. Prior to that time, it was considered an alumnae club. Our annual special events benefitting the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation include chocolate nut sales at Christmas and a Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament with Silent Auction in the first part of the year. We raise money for our chapter with our annual wine tasting each fall. In addition to these, we hold other events for our members and junior circle members to get together to socialize, as well as mixers with the collegiate chapter at UTD.
